Supernatural Review; Two Minutes To Midnight
So, I plan on watching this episode again tonight because SO much happened so quickly that I may have missed alot of dialogue and shiz. Anyway, here is my review, which will definitely not be as short as the last two, I PROMISE. Mostly because this episode didn’t suck at all. WHICH IS A GOOD THING. On to the review!
I was excited to see Pestilence again and he was his creepy nonchalant self. The green puke was a little disgusting and reminded me of The Exorcist but despite feeling my stomach following suit, I was able to watch the rest of the opening sequence. Now, I barely remember what happened after this because I was too excited by a new episode that I may have become comatose until Castiel phoned Dean from the hospital.
THE HOSPITAL PEOPLE.
SPOILERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
HE’S HUMAN.
So yes. As much as I love seeing Castiel wearing nothing but a hospital gown, I was pretty terrifyed about him having to take a plane and then a bus to get to Sam and Dean. BUT HE APOLOGIZED TO DEAN AND MADE UP WITH HIM SO IT WAS ALL GOOD.
So anyway, Crowley returns and shows all of them the gay kiss on his iphone. WHICH WAS BRILLIANT and then proceeds to let them know about Death’s location etc…
Now, by the time we got to half an hour into the episode, alot had gone down. Sam and Dean found Pestilence and with the help of Cas, were able to procure his ring. YAY! And of course, they suit up and come up with a plan to get Death’s ring. So Sam, Cas and Bobby fly off together for their half of the plan which involved killing all those involved with the Croatoan virus (and succeed somewhat) and Dean and Crowley head off to find Death – who was not where he was supposed to be but they found him in Chicago in a pizza place.
Dean, of course, is all kinds of freaked out once he meets with Death and then proceeds to make a deal with him involving his ring, Sam and averting the Apocalypse. I won’t go into detail about the deal because it’s kind of spoilery but OMG.
So. At the end, we see all four rings which are placed together in a strange design and Dean is now aware of how to work them in order to trap Lucifer and save the world.
Overall, I’d give this episode an 8/10
